Solomon worshiped gods and welcomed strange women. The Lord was angry with him because his heart was turned from the Lord God of Israel, which had appeared to him twice.
God had warned him against these things. Despite the great promises God promised his fathers. God took the kingdom out of his hand and reduced the kingdom (split it to twelve) gave him one out of twelve. Imagine,God gave his (a) servant 10 kingdom to rule (1king 11:28-31). Why didn't God even give it to someone up to him but a servant? Our God despises disobedient and idol worship!
Which idol are you worshiping today? Is it your job, money, husband, wife, children, or other gods like Solomon.
Our God is a jealous God ... please repent today, I don't know how many times he has spoken to you (he did to Solomon twice but he never listened). Change your ways now (do not transfer battles to upcoming generation)..there is a time limit to salvation. Tomorrow might be too late...
Repent!
